eBook About the Importance of Read Aloud

Lit Loot 

This is a program for Middle and High School Students.  Middle School Students may request a Lit Loot Bag once per semester and High School Students, once per quarter.  It consists of a book curated to their genre preferences and other items such as bookmarks, pens, pencils, fidgets, keychains, socks, notebooks, etc. Students are asked to review their Lit Loot items and their book in order to receive Lit Loot the following semester or quarter. This program is funded by the family of Harley Dunkin and a grant from the Missouri Retired Teachers Foundation.

Christmas Crime Scene-Students were asked to examine the evidence and use it to come up with a creative story explaining the scene.

Winter Gnome Scavenger Hunt-31 gnomes were hidden around the library. Students had to find them to answer the riddle, " Why did the gnomes hang out in the library?"

Students were challenged to read a book without seeing its cover during the month of February.  Each bag contained a post it with the first line from the book only.  Many students discovered a new favorite book or even a favorite author.
